The Philadelphia Flyers have re-signed 25-year old defenseman Mark Alt to a one-year deal. This two-way contract is worth $650,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL. This comes after his previous one-year deal where he made $625,000 in the NHL and $100,000 in the AHL.
Mark Alt is entering his 7th season of professional hockey and his 6th full season. A mainstay with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he has played only 1 NHL game in his career. In his 237 games in the AHL, he has recorded 68 points. Last season, he only played 40 games and recorded 11 points. His pre-professional career was played in the NCAA with the University of Minnesota. In his 3 seasons there, he scored 39 points in 117 games including 22 points in his sophomore campaign. Drafted in the 2nd round of the NHL draft in 2010 by the Carolina Hurricanes, Alt was traded to the Flyers in 2013 in a deal that also brought Brian Boucher back to Philadelphia in exchange for Luke Pither.
This is Alt’s 3rd contract with the Flyers.
